**Changes to Login and Registration**

Modifications to the GuamTax login and registration processes have been made. These changes require you to re-register for a user account. Read the FAQs to find out more.

Registering

Why do I need to register?

Use of the GuamTax.com online system requires that you first create an online account to access your information. The registration process allows you to create your online account so you can use and access this system now and in the future.

How do I register for an online account?

Registration is simple. Just go to the registration page of this web site, provide the requested information, and if your registration is approved, your account will be created and ready for you to access. Before you start the registration process, make sure you have your Social Security Number or Employer Identification Number, and GRT account number readily available.

Why is a GRT account number required for registration?

A GRT account number is required for verification purposes. The taxpayer information you provide during the registration process is verified against the records in our database. If you are a new GRT taxpayer, then you must first establish a GRT account with us at the Department of Revenue and Taxation.

If I already have a GuamTax account, can I use the same account to login to MyGuamTax?

No. You need to register for a separate MyGuamTax online account. MyGuamTax was built specifically for e-filing transactions for individual taxpayers.

Logging In

Why do I need to login to file my GRT online?

For security purposes, the GuamTax online system requires users to login to their online account via a username and password. This login protocol is implemented for security purposes, but also allows for past filings to remain accessible via your user account.

What if I forget my Password?

If you forget your password, you can have a new temporary password automatically reassigned and emailed to you. To get a new password, click here.

System Availability

I'm trying to login, but I get the message that the system is unavailable. What does this mean?

If you receive a message that the system is unavailable, it means that a connection cannot be established with our back-end system. There are certain periods in the day when our online system is unavailable due to regular system maintenance. Please see question below for specific downtimes.

When is scheduled system downtime?

The online system is unavailable during routine maintenance periods. Scheduled downtimes are as follows:

  • Monday through Thursday: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Daily: 2 a.m. to 6 a.m.
Times posted are local Guam time (GMT + 10).
Why does the system time me out if I'm idle?

For security purposes, your session will automatically be timed out if you are idle for more than 30 minutes. To access your account you must login again.

If you are being logged off before the 30-minute timeout period AND you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, then the problem might be due to an issue with a security patch that Microsoft released and recommended users to install.

To read more about this IE patch problem and how you can correct it, please refer to the support information provided by Microsoft at the following URL: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;831167.

Filing 1040EZ

Where can I file my 1040EZ?

You can file your 1040EZ online using MyGuamTax.com, an official service of the Guam Department of Revenue and Taxation. You will need to create a separate user account on MyGuamTax to file your 1040EZ online. Find out more.
