Why is a GRT Account Number being requested for registration?

A GRT account number is required for verification purposes. The taxpayer information you provide during the registration process is verified against the records in our database. If you are a new GRT taxpayer, then you must first establish a GRT account with the Department of Revenue and Taxation.
